Appendix "A" - Details of Instruction

INFORMATION

It has been decided to rewrite all OrgOs and to renumber them in sequence by Commands.

INTENTION

To rewrite the OrgO for 1 Radar and Communications Unit (Auxiliary) RCAF, (1 RC&U (Aux)).

EXECUTION

Effective Date

The provisions of this order are to become effective 1 Jan 55.

Role

The role of this Unit is to train Auxiliary and Primary Reserve Force personnel in the telecommunications operations and maintenance trades, in accordance with the details of instruction at Appendix "A" and approved syllabi.

Command

The Officer appointed to command 1 R&CU (Aux) is to be the Commanding Officer of this unit as defined by QR (Air) art 1.02 (xxi)(a)(iii).

Control

Control of this Unit is to be exercised by the AOC ADC through the GpCdr 1 Gp (Aux) and the CO 12 WgHQ (Aux).

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

Establishment codes 120 AO 615 and 220 AO 615 are to remain in effect.

Personnel

The transfer or posting of personnel is to be arranged by AFHQ and ADC HQ.

Accounting

Pay and materil accounting is to be arranged by the AOC ADC and these services are to be provided by 1 GpHQ (Aux) Admin Unit.

Expenditures are to be charged to Vote 600 except for pay and allowances, travel and transportation expenses for Auxiliary personnel which are to be charged to Vote 601.

For purposes of QR(Air) art 205.30 and AFAO F5.30 htis unit is not designated as a flying unit.

Supply

The provision of materiel is to be arranged by the AOsC ADC and AMC in accordance with CAP 16 Vol 1 and this materiel is to be issued by 1 Gp HQ (Aux) Admin Unit.

Accommodation and Messing

Accommodation and messing are to be arranged by the AOC ADC.

Medical, Dental and Chaplaincy Service

Medical, dental and chaplaincy services are to be arranged by the AOC ADC.
