Appendix "A": - Details of Instruction

INFORMATION

During the interval since the formation of 2 Radar and Communications Unit (2 R&CU) a number of changes have been made to the reserve training programme. Chief among these changes has been the introduction of the Reserve Tradesman Training Plan (RTTP (B)). As 2 R&CU is affected by the RTTP (B), the role of this unit should be re-stated.

INTENTION

To re-state the role of 2 R&CU (Aux) RCAF, Toronto, Ont.

EXECUTION

Effective Date

OrgO 44/53 is to become effective 2 Jul 53.

Role

To train auxiliary and primary reserve force personnel in the telecommunications operations and maintenance trades, in accordance with the details of instructions at Appendix "A" and approved syllabi.

Command

The officer appointed to command 2 R&CU (aux) is to be the Commanding Officer as defined by QR (Air) art 1.02 (xxi)(a)(iii).

Control

Control of this unit is to be exercised by the GpCdr 2 Gp HQ (Aux), through the CO 15 Technical Wing HQ (Aux), RCAF, Toronto, Ont.

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

Establishment codes 639R 2RCU and 4709 2RCU are to remain in effect.

Personnel

The transfer or posting or both of personnel is to be arranged by AFHQ and ADCHQ.

Accounting

Pay and materiel accounting are to be provided by the CO RCAF Station Toronto.

Expenditures are to be charged to Vote 600, except that pay and allowances and travel and transportation of Reserve force personnel are to be charged to Vote 601.

For the purposes of QR (Air) art 205.30 and AFAO F5.30 this unit is not designated a flying unit.

Supply

The provision of materiel is to be arranged by the AOsC ADC and AMC.

Accommodation

Working and domestic accommodation are to be provided by the CO RCAF Stn Toronto.
