Appendix "A" – Units for Which Pay and Materiel Accounting is Provided.

 

INFORMATION

1 - In accordance with the Programme of Activities 1958-62 51 AC&W Squadron Comox disbands and the GCI site is to be utilized by RCAF Station Comox in providing a Gap Filler Air Surveillance function in addition to RAPCON facilities at RCAF Station Comox. It is therefore necessary to reissue the OrgO for RCAF Station Comox to state its new role.

 

INTENTION

2 - To assign RCAF Station Comox responsibility for the Gap Filler Air Surveillance and the RAPCON functions at RCAF Station Comox.

 

EXECUTION

Effective Date

3 - The provisions of this order shall become effective 1 Dec 58.

Role

4 - The role of this Station shall be:

    1. To direct and control the activities of and/or provide administration services for the units located at RCAF Station Comox in accordance with the provisions of their individual OrgOs;
    2. To provide Gap Filler Air Surveillance and RAPCON facilities at RCAF Station Comox.

Control

5 - Control of this station shall be exercised by the AOC ADC through the Commander 5 Air Division.

 

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

6 - Establishment code 121 FA 114 shall be amended by ADCHQ.

Personnel

7 - The transfer or posting of personnel is to be arranged by AFHQ and ADCHQ.

Accounting

8 - This Station shall be self-accounting for pay and materiel.

9 - For purposes of QR(Air), art 205.35, this station shall not be designated as a flying unit, except that the incumbents of the following positions shall be deemed to be on the establishment of a designated flying unit:

(a) Section 2000 – Commanding Officer

(b) Section 2040 – Maintenance Test Crews

(c) Section 2300 – Flight Simulator Instructors

10 - Treasury Services shall be provided as follows:

(a) Service pay and materiel – DTO Montreal

(b) Civilian Pay – DTO Vancouver

Supply

11 - The provision of material shall be arranged by the AOsC AMC and ADC in accordance with CAP 16 Vol. 1.

Accommodation and Messing

12 - These services shall be arranged by the AOC ADC through the Commander 5 Air Div.

Medical, Dental and Chaplaincy

13 - These services shall be arranged by the AOC ADC through the Commander 5 Air Div.

 

INTERCOMMUNICATION

Channels of Communication

14 - Channels of communication shall be as provided by CAP 460.

Address

15 - The address of this Station shall be promulgated in CAP 179.
