The National Film Board spent approximately one month in the Operations Building producing a training film on ECM and ECCM. The actors were Station Edgar personnel. F/L F Tanner was the ADC representative.

A dedication service for the Protestant Chapel was held on this date, with G/C ES Light DRA/P and W/C W Rodgers, SORA/P, assisting and many dignitaries from the area as well as Mess members being invited.

An Airwomen’s Mess Dinner was held to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the enlistment of airwomen in the RCAF. Guest speak was Miss WM Taylor.

Station Edgar won the RCAF Volleyball Championship for 1961.

A service was held to Bless the RC Chapel at Station Edgar, with G/C JP Davignon, DRA/RC, W/C NJ Gallagher SORA/RC, and the Most Reverend Francois Allen, Auxiliary Bishop of Toronto, along with other local dignitaries being present.

The Auditors visited Station Edgar during this period to conduct a DM audit.
