INFORMATION

1. This order is being re-issued to incorporate changes resulting from the integration of the Canadian Forces and the formation of Canadian Forces Bases.

INTENTION

2. To restate the organization for Canadian Forces Station Foymount

EXECUTION

Effective Date

3. This order is effective on date of issue.

Role

4. The role of this unit shall be to:

a. collect, discriminate and transmit, to a designated SAGE centre, radar data appearing within the area of coverage;

b. when directed, to act as a NORAD Ground Control Intercept station (NGCI) by assisting the designated NORAD Control Centre (NCC) in controlling weapons and performing limited identification.

Command and Control

5. a. The officer appointed to command CANADIAN FORCES STATION FOYMOUNT is a Commanding Officer.

b. Functional and administrative control is exercised by the Commander ADC. Operational control is exercised by CINCNORAD through the Commander NNR and the Commander 41st NORAD Division. When unit training activities, which are controlled by the Commander ADC, require the facilities of the NORAD system, they will be co-ordinated by the Division Commander.

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

6. The establishment of CANADIAN FORCES STATION FOYMOUNT will be approved by CFHQ through the Commander, ADC.

7. As detailed at Annex A.

Accounting

8. This unit is self-accounting.

Communications

9. Channels of communication shall conform with the authorized channels of command and control.
