3 Jun 55 Five Officers and three airwomen from 2416 (Aux) Squadron arrived for week-end training. 6 Jun 55 F/L Davis was TOS for contact training as AS/FtrC prior to departing for Controller Course in Tyndall, Florida. 9 Jun 55 F/L A Ronnie (AS/FtrC) from Lac St. Denis arrived for two day liaison visit. 11 Jun 55 Air Force Day was celebrated by the holding of a Garden Party with Buffet Luncheon, followed by a Station Dance held in the Recreation Hall. There was a fly past of three T33’s and six CF100’s from 428 Squadron. 12 Jun 55 Personnel on AS/Ftr Controller course in Tyndall, Florida arrived back for duty. 15 Jun 55 F/O JW Allard from RCAF Station Parent, Que., paid a liaison visit. 16 Jun 55 W/C FH Nichols from AFHQ arrived to inspect the roof of the back tower on a one day visit. 20 Jun 55 931 W/C J Woolfenden re-assumed command of RCAF Station Foymount, vice 2615 S/L DC Bullock, upon his return from AS/FtrC Course in Tyndall, Florida. 30 Jun 55 RTTP from 2400 Squadron, Toronto, arrived for summer training. 4 Jul 55 F/L RL Kirby, F/L KS Bateman and Mr. S Woodend from ADCHQ arrived to observe trials of new project. 6 Jul 55 Twenty-three Officers from 445 Squadron, Uplands, arrived for a one day visit. 9 Jul 55 Seventy Aux. personnel of 2416 Squadron, Ottawa arrived for two weeks of Summer training under the command of S/L Walker. 13 Jul 55 A mess dinner was held in the Officer’s Mess for Officers of 2416 Squadron. This was the first Mess dinner to be held during summer training for the Auxiliary Squadron. 15 Jul 55 A Bingo, sponsored by the Airwomen’s Softball team was held in the Recreation Hall. 19 Jul 55 26155 S/L DC Bullock departed on TD to Edgar for Controllers Conference. 22 Jul 55 A Station Dance held in the Recreation Hall was well attended by Station personnel as well as Auxiliary Squadron. A/C FS Carpenter paid a visit to the Station. 25 Jul 55 Mr. J Grant and Dr. FR Hunt from NRC arrived on TD to inspect AN/GPA-37 trials. 27 Jul 55 Mr. RG Canning, AFHQ Field Engineer paid a visit to the Station to inspect new construction. 2 Aug 55 F/O EF Muir AS/FtrC reported in on TD from AFHQ. 4 Aug 55 Mr. Clayton, Petel, Reynolds, Ferguson, Pion and Miller of Canadian Marconi Company reported in on TD for five days. 6 Aug 55 Mr. T Clark, District Supervisor of BT Company arrived for one weeks TD. 10 Aug 55 30170 S/L EG Baxter assumes temporary command of 32 AC&W Squadron, during the absence of 931 W/C J Woolfenden who has departed to ADCHQ for staff Officer’s Conference. 15 Aug 55 931 W/C J Woolfenden departed for 3 ADCC for two days TD. 17 Aug 55 W/C J Woolfenden departed for ADCHQ for Conference. 18 Aug 55 S/L Thomas and S/L Robinson from AFHQ paid a visit to the station. 19 Aug 55 S/L King and S/L Markham from Station Falconbridge paid a one day visit to the station. 26 Aug 55 G/C Linbrick, S/L Colosimore and F/L Turner from AFHQ visited the Station to inspect the IFF antenna installed by NRC personnel. Lt. Col. W Kells from AHQ arrived for familiarization visit. 28 Aug 55 Dr. Y Wong and Mr. Rowel of NRC arrived on TD for the dismantling of IFF antenna. 29 Aug 55 F/L CH Brooks SOSec of ADCHQ visited the station to deliver security lecture to personnel. F/O J Aitken, District Welfare Officer, reported in on three days TD. 2 Sep 55 A station dance was held in the Recreation Hall to celebrate the third anniversary of the Station. Music was provided by Training Command Dance Band. 3 Sep 55 Mr. K Lacy, Mr. Warewick and Mr. Cook of DRB reported in on TD to conduct trials. Dr. Hunt of NRC arrived on his weekly visit to the unit. 4 Sep 55 F/O E Fox relinquished his position of CommO to F/O W Bate, on transfer to Sydney, NS. 6 Sep 55 Captain CJ Duesling and travelling Dental Team reported for one month TD. 12 Sep 55 35848 F/L TC Elton AS/FtrC proceeded on TD to 770 AC&W Squadron Palermo NJ for Controllers course. 15 Sep 55 130307 F/L RN Senior proceeded on TD to ADCHQ to attend Tech/Tel conference. 18 Sep 55 Battle of Britain Church parade held in Eganville with an overfly of 3 CF100’s as the squadron marched to the church. 27 Sep 55 931 W/C J Woolfenden CO RCAF Station Foymount proceeded on TD to ADCHQ to attend CO’s conference. 30 Sep 55 A CO’s parade was held in the drill hall to announce the promotions of airmen. A dance was held in the evening to celebrate the promotions. 6 Oct 55 19925 S/L TJB Robinson of AFHQ reported in to conduct trials on radar equipment. 19 Oct 55 41671W S/L AM Sutherland AFHQ and 206697 F/O J Eakins AMCHQ visited the station on a Welfare visit. 21 Oct 55 205594 F/O WR Ewing of AFHQ arrived on liaison visit with Supply Officer. 24 Oct 55 2161 F/L CM Campbell and 34027 F/L ER Archer from Senneterre arrived for a visit. 25 Oct 55 131057 F/O JA McCormick and 30606 F/L CA Brunger from ADCHQ arrived fir liaison visit with RadO. 4 Nov 55 S/L L Cairns and F/O Neilson from 3 ADCC paid a liaison visit to S/L Bullock. 8 Nov 55 S/L JB Robinson of AFHQ reported in on 2 days TD. 24 Nov 55 F/O Fisher of AFHQ paid a liaison visit to the Supply Section. A variety show sponsored by O’Keefes Brewery was played to a large enthusiastic audience in the Rec.
