The principal events of interest for this period were as follows:

Construction – During the period 1 Dec 58 to 31 May 59, the "Ops" room modification, power plant extension and a new steelox which is serving as temporary housing for CMU personnel were completed. The steelox will ultimately house the grocery store, central warehouse and a dry canteen. Work has also begun on the renovation of the towers and extension of the steam plant.

On 21 Apr 59, an ADC Vulnerability Team attempted penetration of the unit, however, the security force apprehended all members of the team before any penetration or sabotage could be accomplished.

On 24 Apr 59, A/C RB Whitting and S/L OG Forrest of AFHQ in company with S/L GH Hicks of 5 Air Div made a visit to the unit for the purpose of carrying out a CE inspection.

On 27 Apr 59, the AOC ADC, A/V/M WR MacBrien and S/L LJ Lomas accompanied by A/C AD Ross and F/L GE Waugh made his first official visit to the station.
