  3. 1St Lt. Lill was TDY to Det #1 as acting Commander for 30 days. 2nd Lt. Borges was TDY to Det #1 for 8 days to relieve Lt. Lill as Commander.
    1. Status of the AN/UPS-5 (Moving Target Simulator)
      1. Training hours Scheduled – None
      2. Training hours Completed – None
      3. Reason for outages: The AN/UPS-T5 has been out of commission since December 1956, due to the following items. Circuit Cards, interconnecting cable assemble, Synchro Transmitter, Synchro Receiver, Standard Target Course Generator. Latest requisition on above parts was 9 April 1958.
    2. Thirteen operators utilized the MO-1 Surveillance Trainer for total of 118 hours.
  1. Section II – C&E Maintenance:
    1. Radar Maintenance: Primary Search Radar has given satisfactory performance with routine preventative maintenance. Primary Height Radar: 25 min down time was encountered on 8 Apr 58 due to S-0503 intermittent in the interlock circuit in the transmitter receiver cabinet. Back-up Search Radar has given satisfactory performance with routine preventative maintenance.
    1. Detachment #1: The Radar was ROCP from 0001Z 1 April to 1949Z, 11 April 58 because of stalo trouble.
    1. Communications Maintenance: The UHF back-up equipment, AN/GRC-27, has been repaired and was put in operation on the 22 Apr 58.
  1. Section III – I.E. Maintenance:
    1. Unit #6 placed in operation and undergoing tests after completion of general overhaul. Pole Vault Power Plant operated for approximately 24 hours. Engine room floor was painted. Repaired water pump on Units #4 and #6 and installed new water pump on Unit #3. All scheduled maintenance and PM were performed.
    2. Carpenter Shop: Repaired and repainted Air Force boat. Completed routine PM’s and Maintenance. Canopy built over serving line in Dining Hall. All loose tile was nailed down.
    3. Heating Plant: Installed two new mercaid switches. Overhauled small compressor. Painting of walls, floors, and boilers were completed. Repaired chloride pump. Cleaned out #2 boiler and repaired burners.
    4. Motor Pool: Too crib was completed and put into operation. Two vehicles deadlined for repairs. One D-8 Caterpillar still deadlined for parts on starting engine. New engine installed in weapons carrier.
