New Years Day Levee hosted by Sgts. and WO’s Mess.

26 Jan 74

Sgt. Ken Frost competed in Canadian Forces National Black Belt Competition at CFB Edmonton. He placed second in heavy weight category.

10 – 15 Feb 74

Annual Winter Carnival, won by Arctic Foxes of the Sgts. Mess.

1 – 4 May 74

Ontario Region Small Base Volleyball Tournament hosted by CFS Moosonee. Teams from CFS Lowther, Falconbridge, Foymount and Moosonee. For the third year CFS Moosonee placed first.

Annual Sports Banquet.

ADC Staff Visit: LCol Davis, Major Janes, Captain Dinicity, MWO Card. This visit included Operational Readiness Testing. This unit obtained a mark of 89%, the highest mark obtained by any unit since this testing began.

Commander Visit. MGen Garton was showing AVM Frier (RAF) the Canadian Radar System.

22 Jul 74

Change of Command Parade. Major GV Kilby turned command over to Major RC Conn in a ceremony held at 1400 hours on a bright sunny afternoon.

25 – 28 Sep 74

ADC 100 hour swim – after swimming 945 miles, 72 persons made 12 miles, the personnel of CFS Moosonee won the ADC Trophy for placing first.

18 – 19 Oct 74

Octoberfest – We III (local band) played at party in Community Centre.

29 Oct 74

Commanding Officers Remembrance Day Parade.

16 – 17 Nov 74

Dependents 24 hour Swim – 61 CFS Moosonee Children of an average age of eight, swam 210.7 miles. Twenty-nine children swam 5 miles after an enthusiastic weekend. Moosonee placed fourth.

Captain CS Parks from ADCHQ Supply Section came to assist this unit come on-line for the DEVIL program.
