Information
As part of the continuing programme to reduce operating and maintenance costs it has been decided to disband 55 Radar Squadron as soon as possible,
Intention
To disband 55 Radar Squadron.
Execution
Effective Date
Radar reporting by 55 Radar Squadron ceased effective 1 Oct 66 and close out shall be completed as expeditiously as possible. The formulation of a close out schedule will be the responsibility of Materiel Command in co-ordination with Air Defence Command. The close out schedule will be published and promulgated to all concerned at the earliest possible date.
Administrative Arrangements
Establishment
The withdrawal of the establishment for 55 Radar Squadron and the publication of a Rear Party establishment, if required, will be arranged by CFHQ/DMRE and Air Defence Command HQ.
Personnel
The withdrawal of personnel as required will be arranged by CFHQ/CP and Air Defence Command HQ.
Communications
Direct communications is authorized between all formations involved for the disbandment of 55 Radar Squadron.
