Introduction

  1. Until 21 Jan 63, the unit functioned on an Advance Party basis under the command of 20128 A/W/C T Goldring CD.
  2. On 21 Jan 63 the Station became self-accounting and the Main Party personnel began arriving. During the remainder of the period, electronic equipment installation and sub-system testing has been in progress.

Function

  1. The role of 46 Radar Squadron at RCAF Station Yorkton is to function as a long range radar (LRR) and ground-air transmitter-receiver (GATR) facility to the Great Falls NORAD Sector of the 29th NORAD Region.
