57 RADAR SQUADRON, BEAVERLODGE, ALTA.
(This Org Order supersedes OrgO 2.58 dated 13 Dec 63)

INFORMATION

  1. This reissue incorporates all previous amendments.

    2. INTENTION

  2. To restate the organization for 57 Radar Squadron (57 Radar Sqn).

    3. EXECUTION

    Effective Date

  3. This order shall be effective 1 May 64

    4. Role

  4. The role of this unit shall be:
    1. collect, discriminate and transmit to a designated SAGE centre radar data appearing within the area of coverage.

Command and Control

  1. (a) Designation of officer appointed to command 57 Radar Sqn – Commanding Officer.

    2. (b)Control – AOC ADC except that operational control shall be exercised by 25th NORAD Region Commander through Seattle NORAD Sector Commander. When unit training activities, which are controlled by the AOC ADC, require the facilities of the NORAD system they will be coordinated by the Sector Commander.

    ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

    Accounting

  2. (a) This unit shall be a self accounting unit.

    3. (b)For the purpose of QR(Air), art 205.35, this unit shall not be a designated flying unit.

    (c) Treasury Services shall be as shown in accounting circular 164.
