I am pleased to inform you that your squadron is awarded the 64th Air Division (Defense) Ground Safety Plaque for having had the best unit safety record for the year 1955.
Your squadron came through the year without a disabling injury nor reportable government motor vehicle accident. Unnecessary loss of manpower and money through accidents greatly hinders the effective accomplishment of our mission. The fine record achieved by your unit for the past year indicates your efforts in keeping this loss to a minimum.
