Comments by Chalres Austin: - When I went to Frobisher Bay in 1947, there were only about 7 or 8 buildings on the site, including the hangar. We were there in support of the Air Weather Service. I was sent to design and construct a larger communications area. We erected 8 large antenna towers and put in several high powered low frequency Wilcox transmitters. During the winter of 1947-1948 there were only about 25 personnel on the entire site.
