  4. Jim Johnson in the Receiver Shack at the 926th AC&W Squadron - July 1955.
    This photo was taken after a volunteer midnight shift at the Receiver Shack. We were short of personnel and some of us who had prior radio training volunteered to man the midnight shift for a couple of weeks. The traffic was slow and all we had to worry about was hourly radio checks. Morse code was phasing out and we did our checks by voice using the Tropo system.
