1998 - A Visit to Tofino – Sue Sargent

Sue Sargent is a good friend. She is also my boss - so it wasn't going to be easy to convince her to take part of her holiday time to romp amongst the remains of a radar station which had been located at Tofino. On the other hand, she was quick to accept my request. Sue was going to the Long Beach and Tofino area as part of a long weekend of rest and relaxation. So - while in the Long Beach area, she and her husband Dave (I have to mention his name as he claims to have taken some of the photos - and I suspect it will maintain an element of family involvement) (Oh yes, and their son John) took some time to visit the area locally known as "Radar Hill" and snapped a series of photos for the Pinetree Line web site. The following photographs depict the situation as it exists today.
