1944 - The Rest of the Story

These are #10 Radio Unit members who had trekked to the Alfred Spencer farm for an adventure/work day - to assist Spencer in slaughtering a cow. Spencer had a primitive canning system with which he would cook and preserve the meat for his own use. There was no power or refrigeration here. The Radio members were given some choice meat cuts of beef to take back to their Station. The Spencer house can be seen in the background.
