1 Oct 44

Weather fair. All sections reported buildings, equipment, etc., in readiness for His Excellency's visit on October 2nd. Duty run for personnel desiring to attend church.

2 Oct 44

Weather fair. A high pitch of excitement was held by all personnel in anticipation of the visit of the Governor General of Canada. Shortly after 1015 am the Royal Party escorted by member of the RCMP arrived. They were met in front of the Administration building by Flying Officer JAJ Musselman, Commanding Officer. The party then proceeded to inspect the various buildings, including the Operations Building. The newly constructed fireplace met with considerable comment by His Excellency and Her Royal Highness. At approximately 1035 am the Royal Party and escorts departed.

Weather fine. Plans completed for bi-monthly dance, Cpl. "Terry" Koch is in complete charge of all arrangements. Movie held in the "Rec" Hall in the evening. All present enjoyed the comedy feature, "Henry Aldrich Haunts a House".

4 Oct 44

Weather clear. Dance held in the "Rec" Hall in the evening. A record crowd attended. The affair was voted the best of the current season. It was announced to the satisfaction of everyone that another dance would be held two weeks hence.

5 Oct 44

Weather clear. Clean-up of "Rec" Hall performed by work parade personnel. Normal routine remainder of the day.

6 Oct 44

Weather light. A meeeting of all those interested in playing sports this winter, was held in the Canteen. a programme of Hockey, Basketball, Badminton, and other sports, was outlined generally, by Cpl Morgan-Browne, chairman of the Sports Committee. Flying Officer Musselman, was appointed manager of the hockey team, with R128513 LAC Mercer, AR appointed secretary. Basketball was organized, with LAC Mercer, appointed as manager, and representative of the station team at the Community Club of Liverpool, annual meeting.

Weather fair. Station clean-up performed by Work parade personnel. Normal routine remainder of day.
