Properties Surplus to RCAF Requirements
Radio Units

1. The buildings at the following Radio Units are now surplus to RCAF requirements and may be declared surplus with effect from this date:

No. 10 RU - Cape Scott, BC
No. 14 RU - St. John's, Nfld
No. 20 RU - Sydney, NS
No. 25 RU - St. Georges, PQ
No. 37 RU - Brig Harbour, Lab

The property (lands) is being retained for possible future use as Early Warning Sites.

2. Both the property and the buildings at the following Radio Units are being retained on a caretaker status as indicated:

No. 4 RU - Brooklyn, NS - Full time resident caretaker
No. 7 RU - Patricia Bay, BC - RCAF Station Patricia Bay
No. 12 RU - Bagotville, PQ - Full time resident caretaker
No. 24 RU - Tignish, PEI - RCAF Station Summerside
No. 29 RU - Goose Bay, Lab - RCAF Station Goose Bay
No. 33 RU - Tofino, BC - RCAF Station Tofino

3. NCHQ, CAC and NWAC have been instructed this date in letters of even file to remove immediately installed and stored equipment from the buildings at the units listed in para 1 above. DOE has been requested to take establishment action to provide for the resident caretaker required.
