Daily Diaries

In connection with the compilation of Daily Diaries, particular attentions is directed to the following:

  1. Breakdown of Personnel Strength

    Serial 289, para 3 of Western Air Command Order dated 25 September, 1944 amends Western Air Command Instruction, Organization, No 18 dated 8 January, 1944, to provide for further breakdown of personnel strength into officers, senior NCOS and airmen.

  2. Signature

    AFAO A.39/1 provides that the Diary is to be signed by the Commanding Officer, or in his absence, for him by the Officer acting as Commanding Officer of the Unit or formation. In either case the name of the actual CO is to be typed below the signature.

  3. Submission

    AFAO A.39/1 provides for submission of Diaries to CHQ in order that CHQ may forward them to AFHQ by the 10th day of each month.

It is requested that in future Daily Diaries be submitted in accordance with above instructions.
