5 Jan 45

Normal Routine. F/O AD Solomon (CAN) C7181, on inspection trip X-1 Detachment, Jordan River. Interview with Captain Casson, OC Kent Reg't, Jordan River re liaison between Army and Air Force on rations, quarters and transportation.

8 Jan 45

S/L WA Garland, C11667, accompanied by F/O AD Solomon (CAN) C7181, had interview with Lt Col MacGregor, Commanding Officer, Kent Regiment, Colwood, re Air Force accommodation at Army Camp, Jordan River.

12 Jan 45

Officer Commanding made visit to X-1 Detachment, Jordan River, for purpose of inspection and liaison with Army, re quarters and rations for men.

1 Feb 45

Inspection & Pay Parade of X-1 Detachment, Jordan River, by F/O AD Solomon (CAN)C7181 and (CAN)J90805 P/O JH McLeod.

8 Feb 45

F/O AD Solomon (CAN) C7181, accompanied by F/L JW McKinty, CO No 33 Radio Unit, Tofino, and Padre, made an inspection of X-1 Detachment, Jordan River.

12 Feb 45

F/O AD Solomon (CAN) C7181, Signals-Radar Officer, accompanied by F/L AH Turner (CAN) C15125 and F/L WH Hartley (CAN) C7179, Radar Officers of No 2 TSU Penhold, Alta., visited X-1 Detachment, Jordan River for purpose of technical inspection of site, equipment and antenna.

17 Feb 45

Inspection and technical adjustments to Radar equipment, X-1 Detachment, Jordan River, was made by F/L WH Hartley, F/L AH Turner and Unit Signals Officer, F/O AD Solomon, effecting improved performance.

18 Feb 45

F/L WH Hartley checked on performance of X-1 Detachment during night shifts, over week-end.

20 Feb 45

Test Flight carried out at X-1 Detachment , Jordan River by Calibration Aircraft from Sea Island. F/L WH Hartley carried out observations at Radar Detachment.

3 Mar 45

Inspection of X-1 Detachment, Jordan River, carried out be S/L Mills, OC, S/L RD Hansen (C8936) WAC Radio Officer, and F/O AD Solomon, Unit Sigs-Radar Officer. Favourable comment expressed on operation of equipment.

18 Jun 45

The Commanding Officer, accompanied by Unit Signals Officer, proceeded to X-1 Detachment, Jordan River, to conduct inspection and check on function and procedure, returning at 1730 hours.

4 Jul 45

S/L CB Limbrick (CAN) C3151 Command Sigs Officer and S/L AWJ Smith C6079 Org 1, WAC, reported on TD at 0900 hours for the purpose of investigating the possibility of re-siting X-1 Detachment (Radar) Jordan River at Sheringham Point, departing for return to WAC HQ Vancouver at 2359 hours.
