Information
In accordance with the governmental decision to reduce the armed services 2 Wing is to be disbanded. This organization order is being re-issued to include all necessary organizational changes brought about by the decision to close 2 Wing and is effective 1 Apr 64 except that Appendix D to superseded order 4.1 will remain in effect until 31 Jul 64. A revised Appendix D will be published at a later date.
The units which comprise 2 Wing namely, 430 Squadron, 421 Squadron, and 109 KU will have been moved to 3, 4 and 1 Wings respectively and at the same time, 430 and 421 will have become Reconnaissance/Attack vice Strike/Reconnaissance Squadrons. In addition to the foregoing changes, the remainder of the Air Division’s Squadrons will have changed their role to become Strike/Attack vice Strike/Reconnaissance Squadrons.

To restate the organization for 1 Air Division Headquarters (1 Air Div HQ)
Execution
Effective Date
This order shall be effective 31 Jul 64.
Establishment
Establishments 11 CG 080 and 11 PB 111 shall be cancelled by 1 Air Div HQ and the positions deleted from 1 Air Division's establishment ceiling.
Personnel
The disposal of personnel shall be arranged by AFHQ and 1 Air Division HQ.
Travel expenses arising from the disposal of personnel on disbandment of 2 Wing shall be charged to AFHQ FE.
Supply
The AOC 1 Air Div shall arrange for the withdrawal of materiel on charge to 2 Wing and shall arrange with the AOC AMC for disposal or redistribution in accordance with CAP 16 Vol 1.
Documents
RCAF documents held by 2 Wing shall be disposed of in accordance with AFAO 57.00/03.
Rear Party
1 Air Division shall advise AFHQ of their personnel requirements for the Rear Party and an appropriate supplementary establishment shall be issued by AFHQ. For the purpose of close out. the Rear Party shall be self accounting for materiel until the close out action is completed. 1 Air Div shall issue an Org Instruction for the guidance of the Rear Party and shall advise AFHQ when the Rear Party is disbanded.
