A new pilot, F/O Roy Barnes joined the squadron today. Roy is well known to several of the fellows, having been on course with them. Exercise Argus was in progress, with numerous successful intercepts being carried out.

The routine was varied today with intercepts of RAF Canberra overflights. S/L Cuthbertson and F/L Lafrance practiced for the NATO flypast at Versailles which S/L Cuthbertson will lead. One section went on a low level tour to Vimy Ridge. Tourists! We learned today that F/O Eburn, who, on leave in England, had gotten married. This is a severe blow to the remaining single men.

Night flying was carried out and everyone got at least one trip in the black.
