Pipe Band played at a Fancy Fete held in Florenville, Belgium.

Inter-Section Volleyball finals between Operations and 445 Sqn - Operations won the finals.

A rather quiet month as most people were busily engaged in trying to finish up their annual leaves.

WO2 GW Leslie and FS MJ Braun each completed their ten thousandth GCA approach during the early part of April, that run being flown by the units Commanding Officer.

Mid-air collision involving a 1 (F) Wing F-86 and a 2 (F) Wing F-86. Both pilots ejected and were picked up by helicopter.

Training Command Band arrived to make a Band tour of Europe. Engaged at the unit, Longuyon, France, Virton and Florenville, Belgium the band proved to be most successful.

Sir Dermot Boyle, Marshal of the RAF, arrived by Service Aircraft. A Guard of Honour and the Pipe Band were present on the Marshals arrival.

Dedication of Memorial Stained Glass Window in the Protestant Chapel by G/C ES Light DRA/P. This window, depicting the Last Supper, is dedicated to all those who have died serving at 1 (F) Wing.
