  1. Sign post located outside of 410 Squadron's dispersal - August 1954.
    Note the mention of a location called "Donnickerville". This was in reference to the station trailer park and the residents were known as Donnickers. I asked one of the fellows to explain this situation when I first arrived at North Luffenham. He advised that single fellows living in barracks were called "donkey's" so the fellows in the barracks started calling those who lived in the trailers "Donnickers".
