Honouring Captain Bill Chew

On 17 October 2007 at 1000 hours a dedication ceremony was held in front of the Communications and Electronics Museum to honour Captain Bill Chew by naming the circle in front of the museum the William G. Chew Circle.  Captain Chew served in both the pre-war non-permanent active militia and during WWII in various signal appointments both at home and abroad.  He retired in 1966 culminating 38 years of service to his country.  Captain Chew was a strong supporter and benefactor of the Military Communications and Electronics Museum.  Addresses were made by the Commanding Officer of the Museum, LCol Dave Gosselin, the C&E Branch Col Cmdt, Col (Ret'd) George Lackonick and by the guest of honour, BGen (Ret'd) M.H.F  Webber. The guard was made up of personnel from all C&E units located in CFB Kingston.
