I was lucky enough to get a second posting to CFE to fill in behind Hugh Gillis, who had been posted from Baden to Frankfurt. Now Hugh was a great guy, but he was never known for his navigational skills; just ask those who attended the courses in Karlsruhe, and were escorted by him on evening visits to the local historical sites. On his first day in Frankfurt, to his credit, he managed to find his office. The trip home was a different story. He was hopelessly lost, but true to his inventive nature, he found a solution. He hired a taxi; he gave the driver his address, and told him not to lose him, (Hughie), as he, (Hughie), followed him, (the taxi driver), home. Whose on first?
