Air Traffic Control

Historical Detail

This is a shot of the Frequentis Communications Control Panel (CCP), that is part of the voice switch that is replacing the TRACS CCS and Liberty Star (Goose Bay) equipment, as part of the Military Automated Air Traffic System (MAATS) project. To date, (June 2005), Bagotville, Comox, Greenwood and Trenton have the new switch. NAMS has also been replaced at these sites by MAATS equipment. Cold Lake, Moose Jaw are next. Goose Bay will wait until a complete installation of MAATS equipment is feasible.
