  1. Certificate of Appreciation from the Baden Men's Club - 13 June 1990.
The Baden Men's Club was an all ranks, including civies, all elements group numbering sixty plus. We raised money by selling beer and food at various local Canadian and German events such as volksmarches, moto-crosses, etc. One night, the Club had the bar in a base beer tent during TAM 88. From about 1800 to 1045 we went through 75 kegs of draught, before the Wing Commander pulled the plug because things were getting too rowdy. I wonder why. The money we made went to charities, orphanages, a women's safe house, padres' fund, etc. Once a month we'd meet at a local Gasthaus to discuss Club activities, and determine schedules and donations. One meeting centred on making a donation to the local La Leche League, an organization that promotes breast feeding. I'll leave it to your imagination to consider the conversation arising when you have a few dozen men swilling beer and discussing the support of breast feeding. I was secretary, and my minutes did not accurately reflect the complete discussion.
