  1. Plaque presented to Captain JE Dunn from the Lahr ATC section - August 1982.
    The hi-light here is the Lahr crest designed by Phil Umpherville. I'll leave it up to him to fill in the details of shooting a bear with a .22, trying to cook eggs in their shells in the RAPCON microwave, or getting lost in France on a section treasure hunt totally mapped-out in Germany he, (known as "The Electric Indian"), & his wife, Bonnie, never made the picnic supper, since it was in Germany; oh to have been a fly on a window inside that car).

    With the assistance of some 412 Squadron (Lahr Detachment) aircrew (and wives) the ATC section commandeered the General's Dash-7 to visit Prestwick, Scotland in the morning, to be followed by an evening hosted by Irish ATC types in Shannon, Ireland.
