COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS (C&E) BRANCH REUNION 2008

A reunion will be held at CFB Kingston from 29 - 31 August 2008, henceforth known as Reunion 08. This reunion will mark the 105th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals, the 40th Anniversary of the Communications and Electronics Branch, the 74th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air force Telecommunications Branch and the 70th Anniversary of the Canadian Forces Supplementary Radio System. Our reunion also includes former members of the Royal Canadian Forces Electrical and Mechanical Engineers radio and radar trades and the Royal Canadian Army Pay Corps. Civilians who have been employed with any of the above, as well as their spouses, escorts, widows or widowers, are included in this welcome .

Reunion 2008 will be sponsored by the Communications Family, and will be organized and conducted jointly by the C&E Branch and the following units:

  • Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electronics;
  • Canadian Forces Joint Signals Regiment;
  • 2 Electronic Warfare Squadron;
  • 772 Electronic Warfare Squadron;
  • Canadian Forces Crypto Maintenance Unit;
  • Military Communications and Electronics Museum;
  • 2 ASG Det Kingston
  • Signallers Club of Canada; and
  • CFB Kingston

ACCOMODATIONS

Transient quarters at CFB Kingston are limited. If you wish to request a booking, please have your military svc number or CF Pension number available and contact Base Accommodations at 613 541-5010 ext 4065.

Request for bookings may also be done via email at roche.km@forces.gc.ca Costs for Transient Quarters are as fol:

Enhanced Suite (Double bed, TV, coffee pot and fridge) - $30.00 per night.

Regular Room (One single bed and night stand only) - $15.00 per night

CFB Kingston is not allowing campers/trailers to park on the Base. As a result we have listed some camp grounds within the area. As the reunion is being held on the last weekend in Aug we suggest that you book the campground soonest.

The Confederation Place Hotel has offered up 45 double rooms booked under Reunion 2008. These rooms are on a first come first served basis and they will be held until 15 Jul 08. Contact information for the Hotel along with other Hotels/Motels in the area is listed below.
