Soldier Apprentices

In January 1953, 16 year old teenagers were accepted for academic and military training. After two years of hard work and strict discipline, they graduated as fully trained soldiers with a grade 12 education.

Called "Little Green Monsters" because of their green shoulder tabs, many went on to highly successful careers. Regrettably this costly program was terminated in 1967.
