  4. During my tour in LaMacaza, another airman and myself ran the Officers Mess Bar - September 1965.
    The CO W/C Roussell came in one day for his "after work" beer, and gave me this cartoon with the request to place it on the bulletin board for all mess members to view. The next day I took a copy for myself. To me this is the greatest cartoon of all time and I am presently trying to find out who the cartoonist might have been. It was drawn during the disruptive days of the "Ban the Bomb" demonstrations.

    Note that Bomarcs have been erected at shelter #2 and shelter #27. The Mobile Inspection Unit (MIU) is in front of shelter #24 carrying out periodic inspection maintenance on the missile
